My new book ABIGAIL is published!
I’ve been working on this book for a looooong time. It is a story I’ve written and illustrated about a giraffe called Abigail who just loves to count things! It has a surprise fold out ending and lots of little things for little ones to look for inside the book, whilst slightly older children will enjoy the bold illustrations and counting fun!
It’s available in all good book shops. The fist edition has sold out so Amazon don’t have any copies the the moment but it will be John Lewis’ Book of The month in September and smaller book shops should have stock. They will be publishing the second edition in October. Whilst is wonderful that a book has sold out before it’s been released, it’s very frustrating that people can’t get hold of it. If you would like a copy but can’t get one please let me know. I can put you in touch with a book shop that ordered copies nice and early so has stock!
Abigail loves to count. It is her very favourite thing. But when she tries counting Zebra’s stripes and Cheetah’s spots, they just won’t sit still. It’s hopeless! What will Abigail do? A beautiful book by award-winning author-illustrator Catherine Rayner, full of gorgeous illustrations of Abigail the giraffe and her friends Cheetah and Zebra. Abigail is a perfect bedtime read with a stunning fold-out night sky ending. Catherine Rayner is the winner of the 2009 CILIP Kate Greenaway Medal for Harris Finds His Feet and illustrator and author of Solomon Crocodile and Augustus and his Smile.

The Tales of Olga da Polga
To be published October 2011
Written by Michael Bond Illustrated by Catherine Rayner
I LOVE guinea pigs and when I was asked to illustrate The Tales of Olga da Polga for its 40th anniversary edition I was over the moon! It was a dream to get to draw Olga day after day!
“A beautifully illustrated gift edition of a childrens classic.
From the very beginning there was not the slightest doubt that Olga da Polga was the sort of guinea-pig who would go places.
Michael Bond’s guinea-pig has been charming readers for 40 years. Catherine Rayner illustrates this beautiful anniversary edition of The Tales of Olga da Polga”
Top be published 1st April 2011
Written and Illustrated by Catherine Rayner, Published by Macmillan Children’s Books
Poor Solomon is looking for some fun but no one wants to play. The dragonflies tell him to buzz off, the storks get in a flap, and the hippo? Well the less said about the hippo the better!
But then someone else starts causing trouble . . . and for once it is NOT Solomon. Could it be the perfect pal for a lonely crocodile?
This book was great fun to work on and I hope you will have great fun reading about Solomon too!
Iris & Isaac

Iris and Isaac are NOT FRIENDS. Off they stomp, in a big bear huff, as far away from each orther as possible.
And as they stomp, they see funny, strange and wonderful things.
