Five Bears WINS Leeds Book Award!

I am beyond thrilled, shocked and grateful that FIVE BEARS is the WINNER of the Leeds Book Award 2023 (KS1)!

We were at the glittering award ceremony on Thursday 26 October '23 to celebrate all the beautiful books on the shortlists. It was a really special event - centred around the children who did an amazing job presenting, reading and even designing the prize which I shall cherish and hang above my desk. It’s so beautiful. 

I also met a host of absolutely lovely librarians, teachers, authors, illustrators, children, parents and many more…everyone worked so hard to pull this together and it was blooming brilliant! To come home with a prize was the cherry on top!
Thank you so much @leedslibraries and @macmillankidsuk - and to the children who voted and schools involved. I’m so happy!
