Robin is an original bird illustration created while I was working on the artwork for The Magic Feather, written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by me.
For this book I drew many, many birds. It is a good job I love them! I almost never release original artwork from my picture books, but I felt these little birds deserved to fly free and be loved on someone’s wall rather than stay archived in my studio.
This drawing appears in the pages of The Magic Feather, which makes it a particularly special and collectable piece for readers and collectors of the book.
